Option 1 — Delete it in the app (fastest)
This is the quickest route, and it takes effect immediately.
- Open Orken on your iPhone.
- Go to the Profile tab, then Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Export first if you want a copy. Deletion cannot be undone. Before you delete, go to Settings → Export data and save a JSON or CSV file — that copy stays with you and is not affected by deletion.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you have already removed the app, or can't sign in, email support@orken.app from the email address on your account with the subject "Account deletion request".
We'll confirm your identity — normally just by verifying you control that address — and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner. We'll email you when it's done. We do not ask for a reason, and we won't try to talk you out of it.
What gets deleted
- Your account record and authentication identity.
- Your email address and display name.
- All habits, check-ins, notes, streaks and statistics synced to our servers.
- Your challenge memberships and the check-in data behind your challenge progress.
- Challenges you created, along with their habit templates and announcements.
- Your device and push notification identifiers.
What is kept, and why
| Item | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Data on your iPhone | It was never ours to delete — it lives only on your device. | Until you delete the app |
| Purchase and tax records | Required by accounting and tax law. Held by Apple; we keep only the minimum record of the transaction. | As required by law |
| Anonymised leaderboard totals | Historical challenge results stay accurate for the other participants. Your name and identifiers are removed from them. | Indefinitely, anonymised |
| Encrypted backups | Routine disaster-recovery backups expire on their own rotation. | Up to 30 days |
| Moderation records | Only where an account was suspended for abuse, to prevent re-registration. | As long as necessary |
Important things to know
- Deleting your account does not delete the app's local data. To remove that too, delete the Orken app from your iPhone.
- Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Apple handles billing, so cancel separately in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Orken. If you delete your account with an active subscription, you will continue to be billed until you cancel with Apple.
- Apple Health data is untouched. Orken never stored it in the first place. To revoke access, open the iOS Health app → Sharing → Apps → Orken.
- Deletion is permanent. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore the account afterwards. Signing up again later creates a completely new, empty account.
